Available in two SFP-based uplinks, web-based management, FE/GE versions

The new feature-rich but low-cost RC552-GE (Rev.D) and RC552-FE (Rev.B) continue the modular design of Raisecom media converters and the OAM features of RC552 series. Fiber uplink protection, layer-2 switching functions and web-based management make the media converter powerful as an Ethernet access device in carrier’s network to realize the access of multiple services to multiple customers with different requirements.

Higher service quality calls for higher channel reliability. Carriers now are building network with redundant service channels to provide high-level reliability. The 1:1 uplink protection of RC552-GE (Rev.D) and RC552-FE (Rev.B) perfectly fits in carrier’s dual-homing architecture both on port level and on system level. The two uplink fiber ports of media converter can be either connected to two different ports on one fiber port switch, or connected to fiber ports on two different fiber port switches.

Like Raisecom’s traditional media converters, point-to-point application and concentrated network management are advantages when customers choose RC552-GE (Rev.D) and RC552-FE (Rev.B) to access Ethernet services. With the web-based management function, remote site trouble-shooting and maintenance become easier and more convenient.
